Obingo ("the App") is a private, invite-only game operated by Marinly, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the App — whether as a registered user or a guest — you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Obingo. The App is intended for private use between people who know each other — friends, family, coworkers, or any small group. It is not a public platform.
You may play as a guest (no account required) or register using Google, Apple, or email.
Guests
Identity is stored locally on your device, in your browser's local storage. You access games via invite links. We have no way to verify who you are, and there is currently no way to recover your access if you lose your link, clear your browser, or switch devices. Keep your invite link somewhere safe.
Registered users
Your account is linked to a verified email via Google, Apple, or email sign-in. You gain access to game history, a saved prompt library, and cross-device access. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
Obingo is a game between friends. It is meant to be fun, light-hearted, and private. By using the App you agree to the following standards without exception.
No racist, hateful, or discriminatory content
Prompts, custom items, display names, and event notes must not contain racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise hateful language or content directed at any person or group. This applies regardless of intent or whether the game is private.
No illegal content or promotion of illegal activity
You may not upload, write, or share any content that is illegal, promotes illegal behaviour, facilitates harm to others, or violates the rights of third parties. This includes but is not limited to harassment, threats, and content that violates applicable laws.
We reserve the right to remove content or terminate access for violations of these standards at our discretion.
You retain ownership of the custom prompts and game content you create. By submitting content you grant us a limited licence to store and display it within your private game. We do not use your content for advertising or share it publicly.
You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or other players' data, reverse-engineer the App, or use it for any commercial or unlawful purpose.
Registered users can permanently delete their account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. This removes your profile, saved prompt library, and login. Games you've played remain visible to the other participants but are no longer linked to your account. You can also email us at the address below to request deletion. Guest data stored only on your device is removed by clearing your browser's local storage.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for how players use the game or for disputes arising between players. The honour system is just that — honour.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Marinly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice in the App. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Marinly is a California limited liability company.
Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By agreeing to these Terms you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
